ONCAT’s institutional funding opportunity supports Ontario post-secondary institutions to expand transcript digitization with ARUCC MyCreds<sup>TM</sup> National Network

ONCAT renews funding to continue supporting seamless transfer with ARUCC and MyCreds™

The Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer (ONCAT) and the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC) announced in fall 2021 a new institutional funding opportunity that provides financial support for Ontario colleges, universities, and Indigenous institutes to onboard transcripts to MyCreds™ as part of ONCAT’s mission to support learner mobility and seamless transfer experiences.

Today, ONCAT is pleased to announce the renewal of this funding opportunity.

MyCreds™ is a national shared service project led by ARUCC that provides learners with virtual credential wallets, offering 24/7 access to view and share their digital academic documents and credentials including transcripts.

To date, more than 12 Ontario post-secondary institutions have received funding from ONCAT and are using this support to help cover costs relating to the development and/or the expansion of transcript digitization capacity through MyCreds™. This extended funding opportunity is available for institutions that are new to MyCreds™ and for those that have already joined and wish to expand their capacities for digital transcript exchange. Information about submitting an Expression of Interest is available on the ONCAT Projects and Funding site and the deadline to apply is November 21, 2022.

Ontario is home to an internationally respected post-secondary education system with 22 publicly assisted universities and 24 publicly assisted colleges, and 9 Indigenous institutes. More than 63% of learners in the province are already using the MyCreds™ network to conveniently and securely share their transcripts and academic documents virtually.
