Effective today, University of Guelph OpenEd joins MyCreds™, the National Network and credential wallet developed and owned by the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC). University of Guelph OpenEd will use MyCreds™ as the secure and official means to issue badges and micro-credentials to learners.
“Digital badging offers students a simplified approach to documenting and sharing their qualifications and skills with current and future employers,” says Michelle Fach, executive director, Open Learning and Educational Support, University of Guelph. “By working with MyCreds™, we have been able to provide our learners with a new strategy for demonstrating their commitment to lifelong learning.”
MyCreds™ will help streamline issuing of badges and micro–credentials, modernizing day-to-day business practices and enhancing service delivery. Further, this platform will promote student engagement by putting credential ownership in the hands of the learners themselves.

The ARUCC MyCreds™ | MesCertif™ National Network is a shared service and platform that provides students and graduates access to a secure, online, password-protected learner credential wallet. This virtual wallet allows them to view and share their verified and official transcripts, credentials, and academic documents in a digitized format on a 24/7 basis – anytime, anywhere.
