Western University provides students with eTranscripts through the new MyCreds™ virtual wallet

Western University is the latest early adopter U15 university to join MyCreds™, the National Network owned by the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC).
Effective immediately, Western students and graduates will now be able to access their transcripts in an electronic format via their own personal virtual wallet. The MyCreds™ platform provides students with the tremendous benefit of accessing and sharing their documents 24/7, from wherever in the world they are located. The adoption of this new platform falls in line with the University’s commitment to innovation and modernization in order to create sustainable business practices and enhance the student experience. Additionally, this technology brings enormous efficiencies to Western’s internal registrarial processes, accelerating document processing times.

Offering our students and alumni innovative, digital services that ensure the security of their data and promote globalization, life-long learning and sustainability is a priority for us,” says Glen Tigert, Registrar at Western University. “Our partnership with ARUCC to deliver eTranscripts through the MyCreds™ platform is an exciting step in achieving this goal.”

Collectively, the institutions and organizations joining the National Network are united in their objective to make digital credentials accessible to all learners in Canada. As the rollout continues nationally at a rapid pace, MyCreds™ is providing comprehensive support to learners, institutions and member organizations.
“Ontario’s postsecondary institutions are leading adopters of the ARUCC MyCreds™ virtual wallet and official document exchange network,” says Steve Orsini, President and CEO, Council of Ontario Universities. “Western’s launch builds greater momentum in the adoption of MyCreds™ by colleges and universities across the province. This digital wallet is an excellent example of a sector-led initiative that embraces Ontario’s digital strategy.”
