Nova Scotia implements MyCreds™ across the province’s public post-secondary education system
MyCreds™ will provide learners attending the ten public universities in Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) access to a secure digital network and credential wallet to view and share their academic credentials and transcripts digitally on a 24/7 basis from anywhere in the world. With MyCreds™, learners will hold agency over their records. They will be able to share their documents directly with colleges and universities, employers, government agencies, and other third parties instantaneously and securely.
The education system expects significant improvements in supports for learners, institutions, regulatory bodies, employers, and others. The innovative system will allow for faster document processing time, more efficient speed of service, reduction in document fraud and falsified credentials, and an overall reduction in manual work required by staff, allowing staff to re-direct their time to other key functions within their institutions.
