Digital credentials now issued to SAIT students with the MyCreds™ virtual wallet

Effective today, students and graduates of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) will now have 24/7 access to parchments and transcripts in their own virtual credential wallet.
Through MyCreds™, students will be able to securely and conveniently access and share their academic documents with other colleges and universities, government, employers and third parties. Documents issued through MyCreds™ are tamper-evident and cryptographically signed, making them authentic and official.

“We are excited to partner with ARUCC to join MyCreds™,” says Dr. Neera Arora, SAIT Registrar. “This partnership services a dual purpose for us – the ability to share and receive secure digital wallets provides our students autonomous control and promotes the authenticity of their credentials and the organizational reputation for high-quality applied education.”
MyCreds™ provides tremendous benefits for SAIT learners and the institution, including:
- Enables student mobility: The ability to exchange academic data digitally and quickly aids faster transfer credit assessments. It is easier and faster for students.
- Exceptional student and alumni services: With MyCreds™, there will be 24/7 service for students and alumni to access and share their digitalized official academic documents anywhere/anytime which is a vast improvement over manual processing time and waiting for transcripts and other documents to arrive by mail.
- Improved applicant services: Admission decisions can be made faster for in-province, out-of-province, and international students.
- Supports student and alumni career goals: With all official, verified documents available digitally in their credential wallet, students and alumni can prove their educational credentials on the spot to prospective employers and others, worldwide.
