Athabasca University joins MyCreds™ to issue official digital documents

MyCreds™ simplifies the process of sharing academic records with potential employers, colleges and universities, and other third parties. By enabling secure and immediate digital access to authentic academic credentials, MyCreds™ eases the application process and provides a one-stop-shop for accessing and sharing one’s skills and academic achievements.
Athabasca University students and alumni will now have 24/7 access to digital documents in their own virtual credential wallet. This collaboration with MyCreds™ enables secure issuing, exchange, and verification of official digital documents from across Canada and around the world—so AU learners can be confident their most up-to-date documents, badges, and credentials will get where they need them to go.
Within the MyCreds™ platform, students and graduates will be able to share their documents directly with institutions and organizations already operating within the MyCreds™ platform, or share with those not operating in the platform by entering an email address for the recipient of their choosing. Once learners have created an account, they will be able to access their digital transcript and share it an unlimited number of times within a 365-day period.

“We’re delighted to support Athabasca University as they introduce ARUCC’s MyCreds™ National Network,” says Joanne Duklas, Executive Lead, ARUCC MyCreds™. “We commend the university’s commitment to adopting technology to enhance education and prepare graduates for success with a secure method to share their academic achievements.”

About MyCreds™

It also enables sharing between organizations with the learner’s permission. Secure, cryptographically signed documents can be sent conveniently and require no further verification. MyCreds™ is the first and only national bilingual system of its kind in Canada.
