Northern College launches MyCreds™ to issue official digital documents

MyCreds™ simplifies the process of sharing academic records with potential employers, colleges and universities, and other third parties. By enabling secure and immediate digital access to authentic academic credentials, MyCreds™ eases the application process and provides a one-stop-shop for accessing and sharing one’s skills and academic achievements.
The implementation of MyCreds™ will streamline paper-based processes and daily business practices at Northern College. As the education sector continues to embrace digitization, offering innovative, reliable, and convenient services, such as MyCreds™, has become critical.
Northern College continues to place sincere focus on digital transformation, working in innovative ways to better serve its students.
“This is a logical step for Northern,” stated Dr. Audrey J. Penner, Northern College President & CEO. “Through MyCreds™, our students will have access to their hard-earned credential documentation from anywhere whenever they need it. This will save time, money and of course, some of the inconveniences that can stem from outdated systems.”

About MyCreds™
MyCreds™ is a national, shared service and platform that provides students and graduates access to a secure, online, password protected learner credential wallet. This virtual wallet allows them to view and share their verified and official transcripts, credentials and academic documents in a digitized format on a 24/7 basis – anytime, anywhere. It also enables sharing between organizations with the learner’s permission. Secure, cryptographically signed documents can be sent conveniently and require no further verification. MyCreds™ is the first and only national bilingual system of its kind in Canada.
