ONCAT’s institutional funding opportunity supports Ontario post-secondary institutions to expand transcript digitization with ARUCC MyCredsTM National Network

MyCreds™ is a national shared service project led by ARUCC that provides learners with virtual credential wallets, offering 24/7 access to view and share their digital academic documents and credentials including transcripts.

Ontario is home to an internationally respected post-secondary education system with 22 publicly assisted universities and 24 publicly assisted colleges, and 9 Indigenous institutes. More than 63% of learners in the province are already using the MyCreds™ network to conveniently and securely share their transcripts and academic documents virtually.

“We are pleased to be expanding ONCAT’s funding support for MyCreds™ over the next year,” says Dr. Adrienne Galway, Executive Director, ONCAT. “The interest shown from Ontario post-secondary institutions in onboarding to the network has been fantastic. We look forward to continuing to support ARUCC and our colleges, universities and Indigenous Institutes as we strive enhance learner mobility, postsecondary pathways and seamless transfer experiences.”

“Our colleges, universities and Indigenous institutes are thrilled with ONCAT’s extension of the grant funding for MyCreds™,” says Charmaine Hack, Project Chair, ARUCC MyCreds™; VP Strategic Enrolment Management, Centennial College. “This extension of the provincial funding will allow us to meaningfully improve the supports for mobile learners. As a shared, not-for-profit service led by our community, we are working hard to ensure comprehensive and collaborative options for learners. These partnerships are critical to our success.”

About ONCAT

Established in 2011, the Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer (ONCAT) was created to enhance academic pathways and reduce barriers for students looking to transfer among Ontario’s public colleges and universities, and Indigenous Institutes. ONCAT’s work is to support the development of a transfer system that is easy to navigate and seamless for students. To achieve this, ONCAT focuses on different funding strategies to improve the system. ONCAT works directly with its many stakeholders to support not only research that improves transfer system planning, but also pathway development projects and institutional processes that meet the needs of students.
