The MyCreds™ platform will be used by International Programs as an official means to issue academic documents, including transcripts and diplomas. International Programs oversees the delivery of the Nova Scotia Public School Program to more than 2,200 students at sixteen schools throughout China, Bangladesh, and the United Arab Emirates. Those students will be the first Nova Scotia High School diploma recipients to benefit from this secure online access to their academic documents.
International Programs Division – “We are pleased to offer the MyCreds™ digital platform as we are committed to supporting students and graduates of International Programs schools as they continue their academic pursuits,” says Jerry Thibeau, Director of International Programs. “Students should feel confident in the knowledge that their official academic documents are secure, along with the assurance that they control how, when, and with whom they share those documents.”

“The launch of the International Programs Division of the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development on MyCreds™ is a first for the province and for the network,” says Romesh Vadivel, ARUCC MyCreds™ Project Board Director. “Supporting international learners studying the Nova Scotia curriculum at these schools around the world represents a wonderful way to support mobility with 24/7 access to official, verifiable documents. We are proud to help the government provide these comprehensive digital document supports.”

About MyCreds™
MyCreds™ is a national, shared service and platform that provides students and graduates access to a secure, online, password protected learner credential wallet. This virtual wallet allows them to view and share their verified and official transcripts, credentials and academic documents in a digitized format on a 24/7 basis – anytime, anywhere. It also enables sharing between organizations with the learner’s permission. Secure, cryptographically signed documents can be sent conveniently and require no further verification. MyCreds™ is the first and only national bilingual system of its kind in Canada.
About the International Programs Division of the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
The International Programs Division promotes Nova Scotia as a leader in curricula and learning by helping to build and strengthen Nova Scotia’s reputation as a global education partner. There are currently fourteen schools in China, one in Bangladesh, and one in the United Arab Emirates offering the Nova Scotia Public School Program approved by the Province of Nova Scotia, through the International Programs Division. The program is taught in English, and students must meet the same graduation requirements as students in Nova Scotia public schools in order to receive a Nova Scotia high school diploma. Official transcripts are produced by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development from grades stored on a secure online student information system.
