Trent University partners with ARUCC MyCreds™ to issue digital credentials
19 September, 2022
Trent will use MyCreds™ as the secure and official means to issue a suite of academic documents including Parchments, Transcripts, Confirmation of Graduation letters and Confirmation of Enrolment letters. Trent will also become a registered receiving organization on the network, allowing learners worldwide to send their documents to the institution directly via the MyCreds™ portal.
“We are delighted to see the University securing new, modern options for students and alumni to view, receive and share their post-secondary credentials,” says Heather Crowley, acting university registrar at Trent University. “Through MyCreds™ students will be able to access and share their academic documents with other post-secondary institutions, future employers and third parties with ease.”
MyCreds™ will streamline many aspects of Trent’s Registrarial Services, modernizing day-to-day business practices and enhancing service delivery. Further, this platform will promote student engagement by putting credential ownership in the hands of learners themselves.
“Trent University partnering with MyCreds™ represents a commitment to providing students with greater autonomy over their credentials and enabling learner mobility,” says Charmaine Hack, project chair of ARUCC MyCreds™ and vice president, strategic enrolment management at Centennial College. “We commend Trent as well as the province of Ontario’s dedication to providing exceptional service delivery and innovative technologies to learners.”
The ARUCC MyCreds™ | MesCertif™ National Network is a shared service and platform that provides students and graduates access to a secure, online, password-protected learner credential wallet. This virtual wallet allows them to view and share their verified and official transcripts, credentials, and academic documents in a digitized format on a 24/7 basis – anytime, anywhere. Secure, cryptographically signed documents can be sent conveniently and require no further verification. MyCreds™ is the first and only national bilingual system of its kind in Canada.
